Overview

The Faculty of Business Studies at Sharnbasva University has a rich history, evolving from its origins as the Doddappa Appa Institute of MBA (DAIMBA). Established in 1998 and named after founder president of Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha, Kalaburagi Poojya Doddappa Appa, the institute was initially affiliated with Gulbarga University. It held the distinction of being the first private college in the entire Kalyan Karnataka region to offer a management program, a testament to its pioneering spirit.

In 2017, a significant milestone was reached when the institution achieved university status, becoming Sharnbasva University, the first private university in the Kalyan Karnatak region. Since then, DAIMBA has been an integral part of Sharnbasva University, operating under its current name, the Faculty of Business Studies. This transformation has allowed the faculty to continue its legacy of providing quality business education, now within the framework of a comprehensive university.
