The Department of Basic Sciences, encompassing the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics was established in the year 2002 with the objective of laying a strong scientific and analytical foundation for undergraduate engineering education. Since 2018, the Department has been functioning under the Faculty of Engineering & Technology (Co-Education), which was formerly known as Appa Institute of Engineering & Technology, at Sharnbasva University. Over the years, the Department has evolved into a vibrant academic unit that plays a pivotal role in shaping the fundamental scientific temperament of students entering the engineering profession.
