Physics is the science of nature dealing with the whole universe. It mainly involves the study of matter, energy, and their interactions. Other sciences are reliant on the concepts and techniques developed through physics. Physics extends and enhances our understanding of other disciplines, such as; agricultural, chemical, biological, environmental sciences, astrophysics and cosmology, statistics, sociology, etc. which are subjects of substantial importance to all people of the world.
The department keeps itself alive with regular academic activities like seminars, workshops, conferences. It is well equipped with advanced and sophisticated instruments and laboratories. Faculty members have liaisons with research institutions. In the last five years, 3 Ph.D. thesis, and more than 25 research papers have been published in national and international journals.
The Laboratory of Physics imparts the physical basics of engineering science by means of meaningful experimental setups that provide valid quantitative measurement results. A Physics lab aids a student in establishing the relevance of the theory. It brings clarity in the mind of the students regarding the basic concept of the subject. Students understand the difference between theory and application. Labs provide students with various opportunities to learn and experiment, which plays a crucial role in the ongoing intellectual development of students at any academic level. Science labs give students the time, space, and resources to explore and experiment. Physics experiments are a great way for learners to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and make connections between theory and reality. This will help them better understand Physics concepts. In conclusion, lab equipment plays a crucial role in scientific research and experimentation, enabling researchers to accurately measure, mix, and analyze samples and substances, as well as maintain a safe and sterile working environment.

ABOUT THE MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT
The Department is well equipped with full-fledged, experienced and highly academically oriented faculty. As a result of its continuous, sincere and result oriented efforts as a team, the Department has been witnessing excellent results continuously and every year a good number of students are scoring cent percent marks in Mathematics. The Department has full-fledged research centre, recognized by Sharnbasva University, Kalaburagi, Karnataka, India. The Department is actively engaged in research activities in the areas of Fluid Mechanics and Graph Theory. Besides it conducted One National and International Conferences successfully.
