HISTORY

  • Sharanabasaveshwar College of Arts, dept of fine arts, M.A Fine Arts (Drawing & Painting) established in the year of 1982. This the First South Indian PG Fine Arts department in Kalaburagi, self-financed by Vidya Bhandari Parama Poojya Dr. Sharanabasawappa Appaji.
  • Sharnbasva University Established in the year of 2017 and Faculty of Fine Arts M.A.in Visual Art department started same year.                                                                                      

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

To foster and nurture the hidden talent of the budding artists.

To encourage youth to develop artistic taste and inclination towards fine art and artistic creation.

To create a conducive environment to groom young artists.

To make fine art as an effective mode of expression and communication.

To Enhance aesthetic sense among students and general public.

UNIQUE FEATURES

Faculty and students of the dept have organized and attended many art exhibitions, one man shows, group shows at local, regional, national and international level of their creative works of paintings.

Students engaged in research and interpretation of a work of art in writing, explaining composition back ground, colour combination, style etc.

Students who passed out of dept have secured lucrative placement at regional and national level.

Every year, our students have secured ranks and gold medals to Gulbarga University Gulbarga.
