The Faculty of Science and Technology (Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology) was originally established in the year 2017 under Sharnbasva University in Kalaburagi city with an aim to open up avenues of higher education in the specific field of science and technology and imbibing scientific spirit among the students. Apart from providing basic PG course in Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology the students are provided window of opportunities in the field of research in physical and chemical sciences, mathematical sciences, life sciences and other relevant fields.
So far more than 500 students have completed their courses and at present more than 200 students were pursuing their PG courses in all the department. To encourage the students to take up research, the department has introduced one project for each semester and expose students to society introduced internship program in fourth semester. More than twenty students have been admitted for Ph.D. programme in the faculty. The faculties of the department have so far published more than 30 research papers in reputed national and international journals.
