The Master of Science in mathematics department typically offers an advanced academic environment focused on mathematical theory, research and applications. Overall, a master of science in mathematics department strives to provide a rigorous academic experience that prepares students for further study or careers in fields such as academia, industry, finance, data science, and more.
The department of Mathematics was founded in 2011 as part of the Sharnbasveshwar college of science in Kalaburagi. In order to instill better knowledge and scientific thinking among the pupils. In 2017, department of mathematics, Sharnbasva university Kalaburagi was established with an admission capacity of 120 students. More than 200+ students are successfully completed Post Graduation course in M.Sc. Furthermore, ongoing research is being conducted in the areas of Fluid Mechanics, Graph theory, among others, alongside the PG programs. In order to promote research among post graduate students, the department has implemented a project for second year students. additionally, the department has created internships to provide research and work experience, establish a professional network, foster career growth and enhance confidence.
