One of the unique features of teaching methodologies adopted by the department was that the department conducted 60 minutes of class, which included 45 minutes of teaching, 10 minutes of writing, whatever which was taught on the day in the class itself and 05 minutes discuss with the teachers to clear all their doubts. So far more than 190 students have completed their courses and at present more than 130 students were pursuing their PG courses in the department. To encourage the students to take up research, the department has introduced one project for each semester. Nine students have been admitted for Ph.D. programme in the department. The faculties of the department have so far published more than 30 research papers in reputed national and international journals. For the first time the Karnataka Science and Technology Academy has provided the funds for conducting this conference.
