The Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS) department offers a 4-years Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) program and 2-years Master of Technology (M. Tech) program approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and recognized by UGC under Section 2(f). AI & DS is a rapidly growing discipline that focuses on developing intelligent systems and extracting meaningful insights from data. It combines the concepts of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, and Computing to solve real-world problems and support decision-making across various domains.
The Department of AI & DS is committed to provide quality education and preparing students for successful careers in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science. The department follows an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach with the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) to help students to achieve strong academic and professional outcomes. The department has 12 dedicated faculty members with expertise in various specializations, including 4 Ph.D. holders. Curricula of both undergraduate and postgraduate programs have been designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of AI and Data Science, through a collaboration of academic and industry experts in order to bridge the growing gap between industry and academia.
The department is equipped with modern computer laboratories that support teaching, practical sessions, research, and project work. High-speed Wi-Fi with unlimited internet access is available for both students and faculty. Students are encouraged to participate in technical events, research activities, innovation projects, and hackathons to enhance their knowledge and skills.
The B.Tech. students gain practical experience and knowledge in areas such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Cybercrime and Digital Forensics, Cloud Computing, and Intelligent Systems. Students learn to solve real-world problems using modern AI technologies. The master’s degree programmes focus on quality research and innovative design in both core and applied areas of Artificial Intelligence, Deep learning and Data analytics.
