With the motto Desha Suti Nodu, Kosha Oodi Nodu, we began our journey, introducing a Tourism Course that not only educates but opens doors to economic growth and diverse employment opportunities. Recognizing the vital role of tourism, the Karnataka government chose us to launch the MTA course in 2007, providing a significant boost with a generous sanction of 5 crores.
Drawing expertise from eminent personalities in various fields, our university transformed the former MTA into a thriving Travel and Tourism Department. Riding the wave of the global tourism boom, we expanded our offerings to include a Post Graduation program in 2017, known as Master of Travel and Tourism Management, and Bachelors in Travel and Tourism Management. Recently, our course has been renamed as MBA (Travel and Tourism), marking our commitment to academic excellence Research Centre in Tourism.
Specializing in Tourism and Travel (Travel Agency, Airline Industry, Hotel Operations) Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance. we stand out as the sole institute in Kalyana Karnataka offering certification courses in Digital Marketing and Amadeus for Airline reservations. Additionally, we've introduced Value Added courses to enhance communication and soft skills for our undergraduates.

Master of Tourism Administration Started in the year 2007 with Gulbarga University Affiliation and in 2007 it was the only Tourism institute in Hyderabad Karnataka Region Later in 2017 Course is renamed as BBA-TT and MBA-TT under the Sharnbasva University Kalaburagi.
Department of Tourism and Travel got the funding from Kalyana Karnataka Board to conduct the Tourist Guide Training Program for 45 Days in the year 2023.
Department of Tourism and Travel received the funds for Various Events i.e Paryatan, Swacctha Abhiyan from Yuva Tourism Club Bangalore in association with Ministry of Tourism
Department has organized Many State, National and International Study Tours as per the Curriculum and Organized many excursion activities for Places Popular in this Region.
The Department of Travel and Tourism bagged Patent in its Name for Protein Brown Bread and Conducting many activities, events and Programs for the improvement of Students. Department is regularly organizing PARYATAN an Inter college fest on World Tourism Day, Department is organizing plenty of guest lecturers on Communication skills, Tourist Handling, Stock Market, Tourist Safety, Technological Adavncement in Tourism Industry, Soft Skills etc.
Department is also Conducted many events of National Importance like National Tourism Day, Environment Day, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan ,National Student Day, National Youth day.
Department is also Organizing many Workshops and Seminars on, Entrepreneurial Skills, Behavioral Skills for Tourist Guide, Opportunities in Banking Sector, Public Sector, Airport sector, Opportunities in CRS and GDS Platforms, Digital Marketing and SEO.
Department has Memorandum Of Understanding with Tourism stake Holders and Good Placement record in the domain of Tourism and Travel, HR, Finance and Marketing.
Department has Successfully Completed 45days Training Program on Tourist Guides Sponsored by Department of Tourism, KKRDB, Government of Karnataka.
Department is a Member of Yuva Tourism Club, Bengaluru. Under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in this Kalyan Karnataka Region. Under Its Banner Department Organised Many Events like, World Environment Day, Heritage Walks, Shramadaan for Swachhata, Paryatan 2024.
Department also organized Airport Visit, Industry Visit and Hotel and Resort Visit for the Students to gain the Practical Knowledge.
Department is also encouraging students to Participate in State and National Level Competition, Student also made Tremendous Performance in Competition by winning First Prize in National Level Youth Festival.
