Programme Overview:

The BBA in Tourism and Travel is a three -year UGC approved undergraduate program that combines the core principles of business administration with the specialized knowledge and skills needed in the tourism and hospitality industry. The program prepares students for leadership roles in travel agencies, airlines, hotels, tourism boards, cruise lines, event management companies, and international tourism organizations.

Eligibility:
Minimum Qualification: Completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, or equivalent).
Minimum Marks Required: Generally, 45% aggregate marks in 10+2.
Stream: Students from any stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science and Completion of 10+2 or equivalent) are eligible to apply.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES
PEO-1:  To create an educational setting that will enable a travel and tourism graduate to advance into managerial roles in the local, national, and worldwide tourism sector.

PEO-2:  To instill in the tourism, graduate the knowledge necessary to achieve competencies such as initiative, effective communication and cooperation, teamwork, critical thinking, social responsibility, planning, and goal-setting.
PEO-3:  To give the tourism graduate a varied atmosphere that supports improved abilities in the areas of leadership, entrepreneurship, and research.
PEO-4:  Instilling specialized technical training and exposure will enable the tourism graduate to acquire and use new skills and techniques through hands-on learning in order to solve issues pertaining to emerging technology.
PEO-5:  To provide the tourism graduate with a broad range of knowledge and a moral mindset so that they can formulate, research, and logically analyze real-life complexities.


Programme Specific Objectives:
To provide a solid foundation in business administration with an emphasis on tourism.
To equip students with industry-relevant knowledge in travel operations, tourism marketing, and sustainable tourism.
To develop communication, leadership, and management skills suitable for global tourism careers.
To expose students to real-world industry practices through internships, fieldwork, and case studies.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES
After completing the program, tourism graduates will be able to:
PO 1-  Disciplinary Knowledge:  To effectively deal with people from different backgrounds, contextualize your understanding of the tourism discipline in terms of the social elements of culture, economy, environment, and politics.

PO 2-  Complex Problem-solving: Analyze, assess, and interpret data so that the service sector may reach its long-term goals and make the best decisions.
PO 3-  Creativity:  Establish a creative and competent atmosphere where people may continue to develop both professionally and personally. Reflective learning can also help people become more efficient over time.

PO 4-  Critical Thinking:  Gain expertise in problem-solving and critical analysis in the broad field of tourism.

PO 5-  Communication Skills:  By using your report writing, documentation, and presentation skills, you can effectively communicate at all organizational levels.

PO 6-  Analytical reasoning/thinking: Utilize basic ideas and logical and analytical reasoning to examine the management situation in the tourism sector.

PO 7-  Research-related skills:  formulating predictions about the future, assessing growth patterns, and identifying market trends using qualitative and quantitative analysis.

PO 8-  Coordinating/collaborating with others:  One important task is learning how to collaborate and communicate effectively in order to improve relationships with many stakeholders in the tourist sector.

PO 9-  Leadership readiness/qualities:  creating diversified workplaces so that executives can contribute to the company's team-building efforts and gain extensive knowledge of the travel and tourism sector.

PO 10-  Learning how to learn skills:  Using the various resources available, develop the habit of self-learning and improve your employability in the future. This will open the door to lifetime learning.

PO 11-  Digital and technological skills:  Apply their technical skills to meet the evolving needs of the tourism industry and use their understanding of information technology to fulfill the needs of the industry on a regional, national, and worldwide scale.

PO 12-  Multicultural competence and inclusive spirit:  Being ability to function well in culturally varied settings while maintaining equity, as well as comprehending the connections between the main elements of tourism and related industries.

PO 13-  Value inculcation:  Adopt humanistic, ethical, sustainable, and constitutional principles in the diverse tourism industry while keeping in mind the local cultural characteristics of any location where tourism might grow.

PO 14-  Autonomy, responsibility, and accountability:  Demonstrate the capacity to take action and make choices in order to inspire people, affect change, resolve disputes, take chances, analyze the market, make wise decisions, or launch a business.

PO 15-  Environmental awareness and action:  Describe eco-friendly travel products in the context of the travel industry and the contemporary business environment, taking into account current market trends, relevant laws, and pertinent challenges.

PO 17-  Empathy:  Examine the domains of workforce diversity, group behavior, human behavior, and emotional intelligence to start gaining insight into how other people think and feel differently.
