Establishment History:

Started in 2002 under Appa Institute of Engineering & Technology, Kalaburagi, affiliated to VTU, Belagavi.

Intake increased to 120 in 2010.

Shifted to Faculty of Engineering & Technology (Co-Education), Sharnbasva University, in 2017.

Intake increased to 180 in 2019.

Professional Activities

Regular conduct of seminars, workshops, hackathons, industrial visits, and webinars in collaboration with industry partners and professional societies.

PSO1

Apply principles of basic sciences and Engineering fundamentals in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.

Apply computational, algorithmic, and programming skills to implement solutions for real-life problems in diverse domains adapting to emerging technologies through lifelong learning.

PSO3

Develop practical abilities, ethical understanding, effective communication and leadership skills for successful careers in industry or academia.

 

 

Program Outcomes (POs)

PO1

Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, computing, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization as specified in WK1 to WK4 respectively, to develop solutions to complex engineering problems.

PO2

Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions with consideration for sustainable development. (WK1 to WK4)

PO3

Design/Development of Solutions: Design creative solutions for complex engineering problems and design/develop systems/components/processes to meet identified needs with consideration for the public health and safety, whole-life cost, net zero carbon, culture, society and environment as required. (WK5)

PO4

Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Conduct investigations of complex engineering problems using research-based knowledge including design of experiments, modelling, analysis & interpretation of data to provide valid conclusions. (WK8)

Engineering Tool Usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering & IT tools, including prediction and modelling recognizing their limitations to solve complex engineering problems. (WK2 and WK6)
