Department of CSE exclusively for women, has started its UG program BE (CSE) in the year 2011 with an intake of 60 in Godutai Engineering College for women, affiliated to VTU.Later in2013 intake was increased from 60 to 120 and startedNew PG ProgrammeM.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with an intake of 18. After the establishment of Sharnbasva University in the year 2017 these courses are gradually shifted under Sharnbasva University, Kalaburagi. In the year 2023 intake was increased from 120 to 150.Currently the Department offers an under-graduate program (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 150 students and post-graduate program (M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 18 and Ph.D.Department has committed well qualified and professionally active staff’s and the majority of the staff’s are pursuing Ph.D. in emerging areas like AI, ML, Cyber Security, Data Science, Data Mining, and BlockChain.
Department is conducting workshops, seminars and webinars regularly. Various activities are conducted in collaboration with professional bodies like ICT Academy, ISTE, IETE along with student branches of IEEE and ISTE and IETE.
The Department has well-equipped computer laboratories for teaching and to carry out projects. Exposure to cutting edge technologies is provided by means of Projects and technical talks from domain experts of reputed organizations. The students are encouraged to involve themselves in creative, technical and research activities.
The Department maintains a wireless network (Wi-Fi) with unlimited Internet access for use by staff and students. Our graduates are working in leading IT industries and many students have secured admissions to prestigious universities in India and abroad.
