In accordance with the UGC guidelines and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, the university has constituted an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) to address complaints related to sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination.
The ICC plays a vital role in promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment, especially for women staff and students.
Objectives of the ICC
Prevent and address sexual harassment and misconduct in the workplace and academic environment
Provide a confidential and impartial platform to report grievances
Ensure timely inquiry and resolution of complaints following due process
Conduct awareness and sensitization programs for students, faculty, and staff
Foster a campus culture rooted in mutual respect, equality, and dignity
Key Functions
Receive and investigate complaints of sexual harassment
Recommend disciplinary action when necessary
Organize workshops, seminars, and campaigns to promote gender sensitization
Monitor and report on compliance with UGC and legal norms
