The Library at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Exclusively for Women) (FETW) is a modern, student-centric learning hub that supports academic excellence, research, and holistic student development. Designed to meet the needs of 21st-century learners, the library offers a wide range of facilities and services:

•  Extensive Collection: A comprehensive range of textbooks, reference books, journals, magazines, and technical reports across engineering and science disciplines.

• Digital Library Section: A dedicated digital zone equipped with internet-enabled computers to access e-resources, online databases, journals, and research platforms.

• Spacious Reading Hall: A quiet and comfortable reading area with a seating capacity of more than 300 students, fostering an ideal environment for focused study.

•  E-Resources Access: Access to a vast collection of e-books and e-journals through the EBSCO Database and other online academic resources.

• Printing and Photocopying Facility: Convenient access to printing, photocopying, and scanning services to support students' academic and project needs.

• Coffee & Refreshment Area: A dedicated space within the library for coffee and light refreshments, providing students a comfortable break area during long study hours.

• Drinking Water Facility: Safe and clean drinking water is available within the library premises for students and staff.

• Automated Library Management System: Fully digitized system for cataloguing, issuing, and managing library materials efficiently.

• Question Banks: A collection of previous years’ university exam papers is available to assist students in their exam preparation.

• Departmental Library Access: Additional academic resources are available through departmental libraries to support in-depth subject learning.

• Wi-Fi Enabled Zone: High-speed internet connectivity is available throughout the library for research and digital learning.

• Quiet Study Zones: Designated silent zones to ensure a distraction-free reading and research environment.

• Property Counter: Secure storage area for bags and issued books located at the library entrance.

Library Rules and Regulations – FETW

To ensure a conducive academic environment and efficient use of resources, all library users are expected to follow the rules below:

1. All users must carry their Institution ID Card/Library Card to access the library services.

2. Silence must be strictly maintained within the library premises.

3. Mobile phones strictly prohibited.

4. Library cards are issued upon presenting a valid ID card. Books will be issued for a period of one semester.

5. Books must be returned within the due date. Overdue books may incur penalties.

6. The librarian reserves the right to recall issued books at any time, and users are expected to return them promptly.

7. Before borrowing, members must ensure the book is in good condition with all pages intact.

8. Marking, writing, or damaging library books is strictly prohibited.

9. If a book is lost or damaged, the borrower is required to replace it with a new copy of the same title and edition.

         Book Borrowing Eligibility:
         Undergraduate Students: Up to 4 books
         Postgraduate Students: Up to 4 books
         SC/ST Students: 4 to 6 books, based on availability and need
         Faculty/Staff: Up to 8 books
         Departmental Libraries: Additional resources are available at respective departments.
 

10. The arrangement of chairs and furniture in the reading section must not be disturbed.

11. Library materials are a valuable national resource. Users are expected to handle books with care and integrity.

12. Issued books and personal bags must be kept at the property counter near the library entrance.

13. Users are strongly advised not to leave cash or valuables inside their bags while using library services.
