Placement

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Exclusively for Women) has established a dedicated Career Guidance and Placement Cell to assist students in various aspects of their career development. The Cell offers job assistance, career counseling, guidance for higher education, support for competitive exams, and skill development programs. It is led by a Placement Coordinator, who serves as the central point of contact for all departments, and is supported by Departmental Placement Coordinators to ensure effective implementation at the department level.

Vision

To empower women engineers with the skills, confidence, and opportunities necessary to excel in their careers, become leaders in their fields, and contribute meaningfully to society through quality employment, entrepreneurship, and higher education.

  1. To provide comprehensive career support through personalized guidance, job placement assistance, and mentorship.

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell organizes the following activities:

  1. Pre-Placement Training: Training in soft skills, aptitude, and technical areas to prepare students for recruitment processes.
  2. Career Guidance: Providing advice and mentorship for career planning.
  3. Placement Drives: Conducting recruitment drives on and off-campus.
  4. Industrial Training and Internship Assistance: Facilitating internships and training opportunities with industry partners.

The cell is committed to providing necessary support, resources, and mentorship to bridge the gap between undergraduate studies and postgraduate aspirations, ensuring that students are well-equipped to meet the challenges of the evolving global landscape.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) is established to encourage, inspire, and nurture young students by supporting them in working on new ideas and transforming them into prototypes. It aims to develop and strengthen entrepreneurial qualities in budding professionals interested in starting their own ventures. The EDC motivates, supports, and mentors students in identifying, developing, and commercializing their innovative ideas.

The EDC of FETW provides infrastructure and technical support to students with innovative ideas, helping them transform these ideas into new products and services for the betterment of society.

Objectives:

  1. To nurture an innovative, entrepreneurial, and start-up mindset by conducting a series of activities.
  2. To identify and transform ideas into products that address societal and rural issues.
  3. To promote design-thinking skills and create a start-up ecosystem.
  4. To conduct collaborative activities in association with relevant agencies.
