Established in 2017, the university is backed by the rich heritage of the Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha, which has a history spanning over 100 years of providing quality, affordable education to the communities of Kalaburagi and its neighbouring districts. This long-standing mission has always prioritized uplifting deprived sections of society and has placed a special emphasis on women’s education, a commitment exemplified by the establishment of an exclusive engineering college for women, now an integral part of the university.  

This foundation of social responsibility serves as the bedrock for our modern identity as the first private multi-disciplinary university in North Karnataka. While we honour our past, our gaze is fixed firmly on the future. Our institutional vision is to become a top-ranking national and international Centre of Excellence, producing high-calibre leaders and captains of industry. At the heart of our commitment to student success is the Career Development Centre (CDC), a dynamic and integral component of the university’s ecosystem. The CDC is strategically designed to be far more than a traditional placement office; it is a comprehensive hub for professional growth that partners with students from the moment they enter the university until they launch their careers and beyond. It serves as the critical interface between the academic environment and the corporate world, creating a vibrant and active liaison that benefits both our students and our industry partners.  

The establishment of a “Career Development Centre” reflects a deliberate and holistic philosophy. Where a placement cell might focus transactionally on end-of-degree job matching, the CDC engages in a continuous process of nurturing talent. Its core mandate is to facilitate a wide array of skill-based activities designed to enhance knowledge, cultivate essential employability skills, strengthen core competencies, build robust industry connections, and install the professional ethics required for sustained success. This approach ensures that career preparation is not an afterthought but is woven into the fabric of the academic curriculum.  

The CDC is instrumental in helping students realize their professional aspirations by providing structured support at every stage of their journey. Through periodic industry interactions, live projects, internships, and workshops led by industry experts, students are empowered to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges, keeping them abreast of emerging technological trends and aligning their expectations with the demands of the modern workplace.
