Established in 2017, Sharnbasva University is the first private multi-disciplinary university in North Karnataka, offering comprehensive higher education across Engineering, Management, Science, Commerce, Architecture, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
The university is founded on the visionary ideals of Dr. Sharnbaswappa Appa and is presently led by Dr. Dakshayaini S Appa. Its mission centers on quality education at an affordable cost, nurturing academic excellence while expanding access to learners across the region.
Backed by the century-old educational legacy of Sharnabasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha, the university continues a proud tradition of empowering underserved communities. The Sangha notably pioneered girls’ education in the region in 1934 and later established one of Karnataka’s earliest women-exclusive engineering colleges—now integrated into Sharnbasva University.
