Introduction
Sharnbasva University is a newly established private university enacted, by Govt. of Karnataka as “Sharnbasva University act 2012”, Karnataka act no.17 of 2013, notification no. ED144 2016 dated 29/07/2017. Even though various departments of the University are old and known for imparting quality education, however, the University has quite a few newly established departments and it is expected that the young faculties from these departments are in the process of putting in more efforts to attain excellence in this competitive world.
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been established as a quality sustenance measure for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of the university. According to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) every accredited institution of higher education should establish Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure. The primary responsibility of IQAC is to ensure quality enhancement and sustenance. It ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of measures taken/methods used to provide high quality education and evaluate the degree to which each task is fulfilled. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a major part of the system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.
