The main stress of the Sharnbasva University has been on starting new courses in the emerging areas of science and technology and strengthening the existing courses by regularly updating the syllabus and curriculum to equip the students to take on the emerging challenges and make them perfect to meet the demands of the Industry in future.
Another area of importance for the University is Research and Development activities. Both the Teaching staff and the students are encouraged to take up the research activities and I am proud to point out that Sharnbasva University boosts itself to have the largest number of Research Scholars among the teachers in the university and it has been made mandatory for all the students in almost all the faculties to take up at least one research activity in every semester and submit a project report compulsorily for moving on to the next semester.
Apart from this the University provided congenial atmosphere and conducive environment in the campus for the students to pursue their goals professionally with the well qualified teaching faculty and other infrastructure facilities like the well staked library and using the cloud based technology to access the Journals and research materials from the reputed institutes and publishers and networking with the libraries in India and abroad.
QUALITY
The quality is the main criteria in the Sharnbasva University and we would not compromise on the quality and content issues in the courses offered in the University, said Dr Appaji. The University has future plans to affiliate the colleges run by the Sangha and also establish its own colleges of Agriculture, Horticulture, Medicine and Para Medical”.
The Sharnbasva University is being shaped to be a centre of excellence with a main stress on giving more scope for the students pursuing higher education and professional education on research activities. “The courses offered in the University and affiliated professional colleges have been on the lines of the courses offered in reputed Universities like Oxford and other universities where the focus in both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses is the research.
When a student completes his undergraduate courses he would have to complete at least 12 projects and most of these projects is patented and becomes revenue earner for the University….we are emulating this.
Besides this, the University also has long term plan to short term certificate courses for the school dropouts in agriculture and horticulture and diploma courses in different disciplines.
