Overview

Sharnbasva University is committed to ensuring that financial limitations do not hinder deserving students from pursuing higher education. In alignment with its mission of inclusivity and social equity, the University facilitates various Government, AICTE, and Institutional Scholarship Schemes for eligible students.

Scholarships are processed strictly as per the norms and guidelines issued by the Government of Karnataka, Government of India, AICTE, UGC and other competent authorities from time to time.

AICTE Scholarship & Fellowship Schemes

Students can explore and apply for various scholarship and fellowship schemes offered by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Government Scholarship Schemes

1️⃣ State Scholarship Portal (SSP) – Government of Karnataka

Eligible students may apply for:

• Post Matric Scholarship (SC/ST)
• Post Matric Scholarship (OBC)
• Minority Scholarship
• Fee Reimbursement Scheme
• Vidyasiri (Hostel & Food Allowance)

2️⃣ National Scholarship Portal (NSP) – Government of India

• Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship
• Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
• Minority Scholarships
• Other Central Government Schemes

Categories Benefited

Scholarships are available for students belonging to:

• Scheduled Castes (SC)
• Scheduled Tribes (ST)
• Other Backward Classes (OBC)
• Minority Communities
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
• Meritorious Students

Institutional Support

The University provides:

• Dedicated Scholarship Assistance Cell

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility depends on:

• Category and caste as per Government norms
• Income limits prescribed by the concerned authority
• Academic performance and attendance
• Admission into approved and recognized programs

2. Upload required documents (Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Aadhaar, Bank Details, etc.).
3. Submit application within the prescribed deadline.
4. Verification by the University and the concerned Government authority.
5. Scholarship amount credited directly to the student’s bank account (DBT mode).

Important Instructions

• Submission of application does not guarantee sanction.
• Approval and disbursement are subject to Government/AICTE verification.
• Students must ensure accuracy of documents and bank details.
• Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
