The Sharnbasva University stands tall on the strong foundation of the true belief and vision of the great Educationists Poojya Doddappa Appaji, the 7th Peethadhipati of the Sharnbasveshwar Samasthan and the 8th Peethadhipati of the Samasthan Vidya Bhandari Poojya Dr Sharnbaswappa Appaji of extending education at an affordable cost without compromising on providing quality education.

  • Gnyana Dasoha in the form of educational activities by the Sharnbasva University and the educational institutions run under the aegis of Sharnabasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha, is the refinement of the philosophy of Dasoha (feeding the needy), professed by 18th Century Saint Lord Sharnbasaveshwar and followed spiritually till today by the successive Peethadhipatis of the Samasthan.
  • Sharnbasva University is the dream child of Poojya Dr Sharnbaswappa Appaji, who was responsible for the establishment of the Gulbarga University some 44 years ago, has been the inspirational force behind the transformation of the once educationally backward Kalaburagi into a major educational hub by starting chain of educational institutions and imparting quality education at an affordable cost. The University which is the first private University in the entire Kalyana Karnataka region is making rapid strides to achieve excellence in the academics with a avowed dream of becoming one of the best Universities in the country.
  • Not only the Sharnbasva University is youngest university, but its enthusiastic and well qualified young faculty is making ripples in the academic circles with their quality research work and adopting innovative teaching practices to produce finest young minds for the nation building activities.
  • The Sharnbasva University was one among the few private universities which was offering the multi disciplinary courses even before it was conceived in the New Educational Policy-2020 and was the first private university to offer the much neglected courses in Music and Fine Arts at the Post Graduate level.
